Hi, all!

I have a questions about call recording solution for CUCM and CME.

- Does Cisco Media Sense support call recording for Call Manager Express?
- Will Media sense write all calls, including calls via PSTN to any DN, or only DN to DN calls?
- Can it be used for call recording in CUCM?
- Network-based call recording feature available only in CUCM 10 or early versions?
- What is disadvanteges and benefits of span/rspan call recording solutions?

Hi,

Have you got a solution for this. have you found any recording server that will work with Cisco CME.

I am having a similar requirement. Even a 3rd party solution will work for me.

Bejoy

Hi,

You can use the live record option if your CME is integrated with CUE.

Hi Aseem,

Thanks for the answer. But we are looking for a full fledged recording solution.

A network based recording solution would work with CME environment. One example is MiaRec.

Refer to the link below:

For integration and version support you need to check with the vendor.

Hi,

Yes, now Cisco Media-sense with CUBE Dial-Peer Media Forking recording supported for CME & SRTS..

CUBE ISR G2 platforms supported
   •CUCM independent
–SIP Trunk direct from CUBE to MediaSense
•Requires both legs to be SIP
–Inbound and Outbound leg
–May need to make use of loop-around if TDM
  •Record on inbound and/or outbound dial-peer

Recording in SRST and CME
•Uses CUBE dial-peer forking
•Requires loop-around configuration in dial-peers
•CUBE requires calls to route through an inbound then outbound SIP dial-peer
•Call has to “depart” CME/SRST to record

best regards,

Naveen
