Hi there. We are currently running cm 6.x, but are in the middle of an upgrade to 8.x. meanwhile I have to keep the old system running. Yesterday we had a pub failure, and all our agents were unable to log in because the 'services' button wasnt working. I figure "no problem" and go to the sub, enterprise parameters and change the services url to be the address of the sub. No can do. Cant make changes to the sub, only the pub can and of course that was in flames, never to be resurrected again.
So my question is, how do I make the services url be failover as well? DNS? (ouch) other?
