I am trying to register my 7821 phone to voip.ms. I haven't had any success so far in doing this or even registering it to a local Asterisk server. Attached below is my SEP XML file. The phone seems to be grabbing files from the TFTP server, including the SEP file, so this seems to just be a configuration problem. The file I uploaded has .txt extension, but this is just so the website will allow me to upload it, and the real one is .cnf.xml.
Yes, the phone is getting an IP through DHCP, and it is correctly getting the TFTP server's IP through the DHCP options.
It first says "No trust list installed". Then it reads the config file name. Then it says "Error verifying config info"
Then it says "Error verifying config info"
That means the config is incorrect.
That's incorrect. Change that to "USECALLMANAGER".
<sipProxies> <backupProxy>USECALLMANAGER</backupProxy> <backupProxyPort>5060</backupProxyPort> <emergencyProxy>USECALLMANAGER</emergencyProxy> <emergencyProxyPort>5060</emergencyProxyPort> <outboundProxy></outboundProxy> <outboundProxyPort></outboundProxyPort> <registerWithProxy>true</registerWithProxy> </sipProxies>
Update the config with these settings, factory-default the phone and try again.
Pay close attention to the status messages appearing. Messages about "TLV" and certificates can be ignored.
So I updated the settings like you directed, and changed the proxies from tampa1.voip.ms to USECALLMANAGER. I did a keypad reset and then looked for messages. This time I noticed the first message says "service mode change: enterprise" and then proceeds to give me the same 3 messages as before.
With this version, I now have two new status messages. "Error updating user locale" and "Error updating network locale". Below is a list of all the files the phone is requesting, however most of them I do not have.
As you mentioned, the tlv and jar files are nothing to worry about, but does g3-tones.xml have anything to do with the issue?
