Requested facility not implemented

Hi,

We are setting up new PRIs and experiencing outbound call issue. We have 7.1.5 cucm and cisco 2951 VGW routers, protocol used mgcp.

Inbound calls works

Outbound calls failing

Debug isdn q931:

Jul 21 19:59:47.860: ISDN Se0/0/1:23 Q931: TX -> SETUP pd = 8  callref = 0x000D

        Bearer Capability i = 0x8090A2

                Standard = CCITT

                Transfer Capability = Speech

                Transfer Mode = Circuit

                Transfer Rate = 64 kbit/s

        Channel ID i = 0xA98397

                Exclusive, Channel 23

        Net Specific Fac i = 0x00F3

        Calling Party Number i = 0x2880, '7036010000'

                Plan:National, Type:National

        Called Party Number i = 0xA8, '992022212345'

                Plan:National, Type:National

Jul 21 19:59:47.904: ISDN Se0/0/1:23 Q931: RX <- RELEASE_COMP pd = 8  callref = 0x800D

        Cause i = 0x82C520 - Requested facility not implemented

Service provider said we are sending “Binary facility request” on our outbound calls and wanted me to turn that off. I have unchecked the Display IE Delivery and Send Calling Name In Facility IE  under the PRI Protocol Type Specific Information in cucm but still getting the same rejection error from service provider switch.

Any idea where I can turn off this “Binary facility request”? or any one experienced the Cause i = 0x82C520 - Requested facility not implemented error?

Thank you very much in advance for any assistance!!

Hello Askalu,

Can you please check the route pattern and see if "Network Service Protocol" is set to anything(like PRI-NI2) if its  just change to (default) ie  none

Can you post the router config and screenshots of the gateway/PRI config in CUCM?

Hi.

On port configuration on CUCM, uncheck:

send calling name in Facility IE option (should be disabled by default)

Thank you all but tried both the  no isdn outgoing ie facility on serial interface and already had send calling name in Facility IE option (should be disabled by default) unchecked. Still getting the same error message.

Below is router configuration and attached is the screenshots of the gateway/PRI config in CUCM

Thanks again,

Hi,

From your debug, I can see that NSF IE is inserted in Q931 setup message which is causing the problem for outgoing calls.

Net Specific Fac i = 0x00F3

I think you are configuring "ISDN Network-Specific Facilities Information Element" section in your route patterns which sending the NSF IE in Q931 Setup.

Please clear all the configuration under this section in your route-patterns and test. Since your telco is rejecting calls with NSF, then they don't support it and you don't need it.

Hello Askalu,

Can you please check the route pattern and see if "Network Service Protocol" is set to anything(like PRI-NI2) if its  just change to (default) ie  none

Br, Nadeem Please rate all useful post.

You guys are awsome!!!!

Not selecting "Network Service Protocol" under ISDN Network-Specific Facilities Information Element under route pattern solved it.

Please share your router configuration to look deeper. As start point try to disable Facility IE as below (if T1 link you need to use :23).

interface Serial0/0/0:15
 no isdn outgoing ie facility
