Dear All,
Is there anything special i have to do when restoring a backup from another system to a new MCS server? In terms of licenses?

Is the server you are restoring the Publisher or another node?
If it is the Publisher you will need to get the licenses re-hosted with the MAC address of the new server. Do a restore then upload the re-hosted licenses and delete the old ones.
If it is another node you should not have to do anything other than the restore.

With Business Edition you only have one server so that is effectively the Publisher therefore you need to get the licenses (CUCM and Unity Connection) re-hosted.

Hi All,
We have CUCM cluster and have installed a new node like another cluster publisher(with diferent ip address from existing publisher) . When existing publisher goes down we will move publisher backup to new server and change publisher ip address to new server on existing subscribers.
is it posible ?
Our aim is using new server for publisher down issue.(like cold standby server but diferent ip address from existing publisher)

Hi
You could - you'd have to ensure it's on the same version, and you would do the restore AFTER you have set the IP to the same as the old server. DRF won't restore otherwise.
