one user moved to a new location, unplugged his phone and plugged it in the new location. then when he went to his personal address book, there was nothing in it. is there a way of retrieving it? we are using call manager 4.1.(3). Not Call Manager Express, the real Call Manager.

same ip subnet?
connectivity?
the data is on CUCM so you should be able to retrieve it.
exactly what happens on the phones? what do you see/get?

you can login to the CCM User page to check if it shows up there. https://x.x.x.x/ccmuser
do you see the IP phone service? Are you able to login?
try removing and re- adding the service to the phone.
In the CCM Admin - is the IP phone service defined using an IP or hostname? If it is hostname, does the dhcp include dns.
