Ring tones in subdirectory with CME 4.03 and 7911,41,61, phones

I have upgrade an CME 3.3 to 4.03. All the ring tones are stored under a subdirectory (rings) in the flash. All the old phones eg 7940 work fine. If I add a new phone e.g. 7941 i get the message ringlist has error. If I copy all the rings to the root directory and change the ringlist.xml then everything is working fine. Is it not possible to have the rings in a subdirectory with the new phone generation? I already tried to copy the ringlist.xml to the root and also to the subdirectory. Each time same message. Did also try with the alias command

Yes it is possible to place the ring tones under a directory using the new phones but you must use the alias command in your tftp server statments as shown below.

tftp-server flash:/Rings/RingList.xml alias RingList.xml

tftp-server flash:/Rings/DistinctiveRingList.xml alias DistinctiveRingList.xml

tftp-server flash:/Rings/Ring1.raw alias Ring1.raw

tftp-server flash:/Rings/Ring2.raw alias Ring2.raw

tftp-server flash:/Rings/Ring3.raw alias Ring3.raw

tftp-server flash:/Rings/Vibe.raw alias Vibe.raw

Note: Directory names are case sensitive.

Regards.

Yes it works like that. Don't forget to change the RingList.xml. There should be no subdirectory (rings/). See below

tftp-server flash:rings/DistinctiveRingList.xml alias DistinctiveRingList.xml

tftp-server flash:rings/RingList.xml alias RingList.xml

tftp-server flash:rings/3s-hello.raw alias 3s-hello.raw

tftp-server flash:rings/24ctu.raw alias 24ctu.raw

RingList.xml

3s-hello

3s-hello.raw

Like that it works with the old phones e.g. 7940 and also with the new ones 8e.g. 7941)
