Ringback issue when calling through a GSM Gateway

Hi All,

I am facing an issue in which we are routing calls to a clients CUCM who are in turn routing the calls to a GSM gateway.

Now when i dial from Phone A to Phone B No ringback is heard. I have tried the progress_ind commands but i feel i myt be applting it on the wrong router.

Is there anyway we can force the orignating router to play the ring back without making changes to the rest of the network?

Can you try in the CME dial-peer

tone ringback altert-no-PI

If that doesn't work, will needed detailed traces.

Hi Paolo

would these debugs do ?

debug voip ccapi inout

debug h225 asn1

debug cch323 all

I will try to implement this config. But can you please tell me what this command would do? From some debugs i tool i remember the PI was coming up as Null.

Thanks

Hassan

You can look up any command in "IOS command reference" on cisco.com.

Hi Paolo,

I tried the tone ringback alert-no-pi but the still no ringback. I am attaching the logs of debug voip ccapi inout on the CME and the voice router on the E1.

the ANI is 2335 and DNIS contains 83053.

Thanks

Hassan

Traces might not help at times.

Try configuring the CME to go directly to the GSM gateway for  cellphone number.
