Routing list of numbers through BRI

 Hello,

I have issues with faxing through my SIP provider. But my CUBE has BRI & SIP connected. I want to route known fax numbers through BRI  to avoid fax failures. 

UCM---SIP--CUBE--SIP/BRI---PSTN

1. How can i route certain list of numbers through BRI?

2. What is the recommended fax config for ATA with BRI ? T38?

Create route-patterns for interested fax numbers and make then accessible for users. This route pattern should be routed to BRI gateway

It depends if your provider allow T38. Usually all providers allow fax-pass through which I prefer to use over BRI or PRI

I interpret the question to be isolating fax calls to BRI(s) on the same chassis as SIP calls for audio.

1. Inbound call matching is fairly easy: Port the DIDs to your BRIs and be done. Outbound calls is typically done by using a different access code - CUCM can do this for you so the user doesn’t have to - such as 9 for PSTN and 8 for fax.
2. Depends on the ATA model. For example, the old ATA186 only supported fax passthrough [NSE]. If the ATA supports T.38, use it.
