Same calling search space can't dial using 5 digits

Hi,

I have two phones which cannot reach each other by dialing internally using 5 digits but can reach each other by dialing out using 9. They are in the same calling search space. What could be the problem?

Are they in the same partition and can their css access that partition.

Hi,

Yes they were. It appears the problem occurred because there was no route to each site on the branch routers as told by my superiors.
