SDK: Corporate directory + LDAP Directory?

Guys,

I want to try and create a solution where I can have a directory script that searches an external AD server for results based on user input without having an LDAP integrated CUCM.

I'm looking through the SDK right now and have done some searching but everything I seem to be coming up with is for windows call managers, and I want to do this on 8.6.

Does anyone have any links or anything that may prove useful to me in acheiving this goal?

You'll need to either use a third-party product (e.g. SynApps Appendix) or write an XML service of your own using the XML SDK. You will not be able to modify the CUCM server itself to do this.
