Searching the smallest ESXi-capable Cisco-Server...

...for setting up a lab using the/all UC-Products of the latest Cisco Unified Workspace for Partners(v8.5).

Our main objective is to be cost effective, since we have an own productive environment. But we need to setup a complete UC environment on an ESXi.

Are there any recommendations?

Yes, i´m already aware of the ability to set up most components on any ESXi or VMWARE-Instance, but i want to be able to get support. Which won´t work for "unsupported" hardware.

Thank you in advance!

If the requirement is to be supported then the answer is straightforward.  You can either go with a Cisco UC on UCS solution or one of the HP or IBM "specification-based hardware" approaches that are now supported.  In your case, I'd recommend a UC on UCS C-Series server...the smallest of which is the C200.  The next series is the C210 and both are pretty beefy and capable boxes so they aren't "small" but they are the most cost effective of the Cisco lineup.  Alternatively, you can build something to spec.  You can find hardware requirements and specs on the UC on UCS doc wiki here:

Blog about specs-based configurations here:

Full link to specs-based info on doc wiki here:

These are your only options at this time to be supported.
