Self Provisioning Feature (CUCM 10.5) for Extension Mobility users (Auto creation of UDP)

Experts,

Is there a way where we Auto create Extension Mobility profiles with the use of Self Provisioning feature? or How self Provisioning is usable in an Extension Mobility user environment.

I understand how it normally works by pushing the configurations based on UDT and ULT, but wanted to know how we can make use of it with EM.

No, you're trying to mix things that are not meant to work together, self-provisioning is an "upgrade" to the auto-registration feature, in which you only configure the phone config WITHOUT EM.

You still need to create the UDPs for each user, self-provisioning could only assist with enabling EM on the phone.

This feature is not meant to create the UDPs automatically, it only provides the phone with their logged out config.

Jamie is correct of course but it is worth pointing out that Prime Collaboration Provisoning is capable of this workflow. The Auto Provisioning feature can assign any service you want, including Extension Mobility. The Standard version is bundled with CUCM 10.0 and above.

Be warned that it has been extremely buggy in the 10.x releases. We'll see if the new 11.0 release is any better. Just be prepared for a lot of scrapes getting it setup.

Thanks for the clarification Jaime and Jonathan!

Hello!

Is any changes for 11.5 release?

No, self provisioning only works for devices, not UDPs
