Hi,

Users cannot access the Corporate Directory from the 7936 conference phones. When users presses the coroporate directroy softkey they are getting      " Server not found" error.

I tried upgrading the firmware version to latest available on the Cisco Website " cmterm_7936.3-3-21-0" but no luck.

I found below Bug on Cisco Bug tool but there is workaround is None.

CSCsi13106 Bug   Details

Top of Form

7936 Phone Displays   Host not found when accessing corporate directory

Symptom:
getting "host not found" error message on attempt to search
Corporate Directory. The problem occurs on 7936 phones only.

Conditions:
The 7936 is communicating with the Communications Manager across a firewall.

Workaround:
None.

Further Problem Description:
The problem is related to 7936 using HTTP version 1.0. The host header can't   be used
with HTTP 1.0.
After the firewall traversal there is no info in the packet what was the   external
name of the Communications Manager server (=host). The CCMCIP feature
picks up the IP address valid between the firewall and the CUCM,
then puts this address into Corporate Directory URL, then sends the URL
inside HTTP reply to the 7936.
Problem is, this address is not routable outside of the perimeter protected
by the firewall. Hence a subsequent packet issued by the 7936 carying a   request
to search Corporate Directory gets dropped with response "host not   found"
sent back to 7936.

I know this might sound a bit help desk like but are you using DNS? If so, have you checked the availability of the DNS addresses configured on the phone?

What version of CUCM or CUCME are you using?

Are any 7936 and or any other model phones experiencing this issue?

HTH Regards, Yosh

Hi,

We are not using DNS. The current version of CUCM is 7.1.5.33900. We have problem with only 7936 phone, we are able to access the corporate diretory on rest of the models ( 7945,7965,7942,7985).

We dont know how to fix this issue, the only option we have is to contact Cisco TAC.
