Setting a Background Image on KEM with Cisco 8865 MPP [closed]

Hello everyone,

I have a question about setting up a background image on the Key Expansion Module (KEM) connected to a Cisco 8865 with Multiplatform Firmware (MPP).

I was able to set up a background image on the main screen of the phone, but I can't find an option to upload or select a custom background image for the two screens of the KEM. The KEM is correctly recognized and otherwise works perfectly.

My firmware version on the Cisco 8865 is up to date, and I have already tried exploring the phone’s web interface without success. Is there a way to upload or configure individual background images for the KEM screens? Perhaps through a special configuration file or other settings?

Does anyone have experience or tips on how to solve this? Thanks in advance for any help!

Is there a solution to this now? I couldn't solve the issue, and I believe that Cisco does not provide support for wallpapers on a KEM with the Multiplatform. I request a statement regarding my statement and would like to be properly informed by a Cisco employee. This is neither about Enterprise Firmware nor CUCM; I would like to clearly emphasize that this is about 3PCC!

Hello!

To set up a background image on the Key Expansion Module (KEM) for your Cisco 8865 with Multiplatform Firmware, you can use the Common Phone Profile or modify the List.xml file. Ensure your images are in PNG format and match the required dimensions (320x480 pixels for the KEM).

If I understand correctly, the OP is about the MPP phones and the Common Phone Profile, and the XML is not relevant for this scenario.

thank you for your response. Where can I find the List.xml? Currently, I don’t have a List.xml, but only a spacfg.xml, which I can access via the URL https://IP/admin/advanced/spacfg.xml.

This is what I found on the Cisco channel regarding the MPP phone background, which pertains to the phone background and not the KEM. Even the Admin guide doesn't mention how this can be done on the KEM. It would be better to reach out to Cisco TAC to inquire if this is on the roadmap or if it will be enhanced in upcoming releases.

I'm also looking for a solution for this. I have 20+ 8800's with KEM's. They look odd with the backgrounds not in sync. 

With Multiplattform it is not possible. Which plattform do you use? It's possible for sip firmware only.
