Good Day All,
Does anyone remember how to check on device license units on a Call Manager 4.2 system.
I didn't see a link off to license manager fromt he main admin page.
Thanks very much for any help.
Regards,
Amanda Lalli-Cafini

Amanda,
CM 4.x doesn't rely on license units to add devices and stuff. It was introduced in versions 5.x, and is the current model up to now. So there is no license manager and you won't find the License Report available from Linux versions.
What is exactly what you would like to check?

The amount of handsets you can have in old versions really depends on the server model and the license you bought, however as with CME, this is not enforced in SW by any means.

The answer to that would be, that there is no license control at all in CM4.2. The system doesn't keep track of license units, so no need to worry about consuming units, at least on version 4.

Hi Jose
Thanks so much for the reply.
My manager asked me to check how many phones (DLUs) that the user could add to their system.
Since the license unit calculator was not introduced until version 5, do users on the older call managers have unlimited licenses or is the amount of licenses for phones controlled somewhere else please?
