I just bought a 2900 for "labbing" to learn about the new headache (at least for me) licensing and play with ip telephony which is not my "forte".
I setup everything in a way I suppose is correct with one IP phone. I want to get at least this phone registering so I can later evolve to 2 phones and a SIP trunk
attached are some longer outputs for "show license", show version and "show run".
I can ping the phone but it never shows as registered.
LABLABLAB#show ip dhcp binding
Bindings from all pools not associated with VRF:

Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 5, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 10.0.0.1, timeout is 2 seconds:
Success rate is 100 percent (5/5), round-trip min/avg/max = 1/1/4 ms
Got it! option 150 option 150 option 150!
First I was thinking about compatibility and followed the steps to update firmware and then I remembered ... Hows the phone gonna know where to get the image?
Update dhcp pool configuration to:
ip dhcp pool phones
network 10.0.0.0 255.255.255.0
option 150 ip 10.0.0.254
and the phone registered
