Apologies if this is already in the pipeline or if someone has already thought about this however do you think there would be a market for a handset or Cisco USB device that would act as a docking station for a mobile phone.
The handset/docking station could have a wireless charging pad and be NFC enabled. A smartphone would have some form of Cisco softphone client such as Jabber or Finesse installed. This would mean the user could be contactable on their mobile phone using their internal VoIP extension from the softphone client however when they dock their mobile this reads the details from the software using the NFC chip, disables the calling abilities on the mobile softphone app, automatically logs the user in to extension mobility and the extension is then transferred to either the handset or their softphone on the laptop/PC dependent on the hardware used
When the device is lifted and communication lost with the mobile, extension mobility is logged out and calling privileges are resumed to the mobile handset.
Any thoughts or suggestions on this?
