Hello,

Running CME on a UC520, uc500-advipservicesk9-mz.124-22.T.bin

Seeing the following on incoming calls:

Dec 30 18:35:36.544: //-1/xxxxxxxxxxxx/SIP/Msg/ccsipDisplayMsg:

Sent:

SIP/2.0 400 Bad Request - 'Malformed/Missing FROM: field'

Server: Cisco-SIPGateway/IOS-12.x

CSeq: 1 INVITE

The SIP provider said they saw a similar error with the Call Manager where the "," in the from filed was not being recognized. Does anyone know if the error has carried over to the CME code?

Is there a way to force a value in the "from" field for incoming SIP calls? Calls are failing due to this.

Thanks.

Hi,

Yes, this is a known bug with the comma in the calling name. I don't have the bug ID on me at the moment, but this has been raised and some searching on the bug toolkit should bring something up. I can give you this bug ID later. I would look for this to be fixed into 12.4(20)T2 and / or 12.4(22)T1.

hth,

Thanks Nick.

Are earlier verions of IOS, such as XW9 affected?

Thanks again.

Resolved by downgrading to XW9 IOS.
