What is the difference between SIP Proxy and SIP Gateway..... pls anyone explain..

Hello Saravana,
Both the terms can be ambiguous depending on where they are being used.
A proxy generally talks SIP only ie both sides and acts as router for inbound and outbound requeste.
A gateway generally talks something other than SIP as well, such as PSTN gateway which allows calls to and from the PSTN which based on TDM protocol ie ISDN or SS7
