Hi All,
I have a problem with dtmf translation in my voice gateway.
This is the environment:
Cisco Call Manager 4
Cisco 2821 IOS Voice GW - Version 12.4
Phones registered to CUCM via SCCP (Cisco 7960, 7970)
ISP SIP Trunk offering SIP-INFO as DTMF
The SIP trunk configured on the CUCM does have Media Termination Point Required checked (it is mandatory on CUCM 4). I see in-band RTP packets conforming to RFC 2833 events (payload type 101) out of the Call Manager, to the Voice GW. The problem is that ISP requires SIP-INFO as DTMF signalling. The dial-peers are configured with dtmf-relay rtp-nte, so I thought that the Voice GW would be translating them, but it's not.
I read an interesting article on Cisco supportforum "Understanding SIP DTMF Options supported by CUCM" which talks about a bug on IOS and CUCM that prevents this software to generate SIP INFO messages. Is there any way to overcome to this problem?
Thanks to all,
Enrico
