SIP Phone Dialing

Hello Everyone,

We have migrated some SCCP phones to SIP for testing. Some of our management people don't like the sound (bib, bib, bib) of rediling a number with SIP Phones.

  • SCCP --> Digit-by-Digit
  • SIP --> Enbloc (phone dials one by one)

We did not have that sounding with SCCP phones. Is ther a way we can dial a number in silence?

Thanks,

MK

Hello,

If you mean to let SIP phone send digits in one shot for enbloc instead of one by one,  you can assign SIP dial rules to them:

Hi Hamzeh,

Thank you for taking the time and replying.

I don't seem to be able to configure a dialing rule which will allow to send the digits enbloc. Could you please send me a sample configuration?

Thanks,

MK

Anybody with any idea?

Thanks,

MK

What phones are you using?

Also just try a dummy dial rule like 87654321 and add that it. See if that makes a difference.

 Dennis,

I created the attached rule and applied on one of the test phones, nothing changed. The phone still dials digit by digit with a bip btw digits. For a local 10 digits dialing, we hear 10 bips which is annoying.

We are using almost every type of Cisco IP Phones, starting from 6921 to 7975.

Thank,

MK
