Hi,
I have an IP Telephony setup with CME 9.x.we are having 8961 SIP phones.
We are facing transfering issues when one call is on hold.Normal transfer is working fine.
For example Ext. 100 getting incoming call from Ext.200 and put on hold ,getting second call from from Ext. 300 and needs to transfer to another extension say ext.400.
But could not able to do.
Is it because of the line status like in SCCP we are changing the normal line status to dual line and octo line.
How we can do for SIP Phones?SIP configuration mentioned below
============================================================================================================
voice register global

Hi Nithin,
You are looking for the max-calls-per-button parameter.
On SCCP phones, you can use the max-calls-per-button command to change the number of calls that can be handled by that particular button to values >2. You will need this in order to have an existing call on Hold as well as do a transfer on a second incoming call. Once you press transfer, the line will need to go off-hook for a third call.
So far, this command seems to only have been allowed for the SCCP phones. For SIP, the command is not present so the parameter defaults to a value of 2. Hence, it's working as designed when you are unable to transfer calls when there is already an existing call on hold.
Here's the link to the reference:
I would suggest using only SCCP phones for users who face this kind of a scenario in their everyday use.
Thanks
Sree
