Hi,
Were trying to setup a SIP trunk between a Mitel 3300 system and Cisco Call manager 6.1, but currently getting registration failed on the mitel logs.
Is there anyway to setup a username and password on the Cisco call manager side of the SIP trunk?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

CUCM SIP Trunk does not send REGISTER request. But it does support MD5 authentication. The recommended deployment is with the CUBE that can solve some of the interop problems or just a direct SIP Trunk no auth.

Yeah went right through that document but still get registration failure. Is there any trouble shooting i can do on the CUCM
to identify whats going wrong?

SIP is not that great on CUCM 6.1 until you get to 6.1.5. Even then, it can be sketchy. Do you have a voice gateway you could send the trunk to first instead? For example: Mitel--Cisco gateway--CUCM.
The gateway tends to accept SIP headers better than CUCM 6.x.

We do have a 2811 router as the gateway connected to an ISDN 30 (E1) have you got an example of how i would configure?

Hi,
I have the same issue with a SIP registrar provider.
I'm running a 10.5 Callmanager. Is this issue still or a workaround has been published?
Do we need absolutely a CUBE to solve this issue ?
Than'ks in advance,
Best Regards,
Maël
