Request your expertise on configuring SIP SRST urgently.

This is what I configured yet.

voice service voip
 allow-connections h323 to h323
 allow-connections sip to sip
 fax protocol pass-through g711ulaw
 modem passthrough nse codec g711ulaw maximum-sessions 2
 sip
registrar server expires max 1200 min 60
!
voice class codec 1
 codec preference 2 g711ulaw
 codec preference 3 g729r8
!
voice class h323 1
  h225 timeout tcp establish 3
!
!
voice register global
 timeouts interdigit 5
 system message "SRST Mode"
 max-dn 50
 max-pool 50
!
voice register pool  1
 id mac 5067.AEE3.6CC6
 number 1 2404
 dtmf-relay rtp-nte
 voice-class codec 1

Do I need to point GW ip and port 5060 in register global?

This is not CME.

Please help.

Couple of things:

Under register pool 1 you may want to add "id network"

what is the version of IOS? You may need to add "ip address trusted" under voice service voip

In CUCM you definitely need to ensure the phone's DP has proper SRST defined.

What do you see when you run "debug ccsip messages"?

Phones have registered.

Only issue is the system message that I configured under voice register global is not appearing on the SIP phones..

Please help me resolve this.

try this "system message primary SRST Mode"

There are few things i realized while doing the SIP SRST.

Voice service voip

ip address trusted list

IPV4: <IP subnet matching the dhcp scope> mask <mask>

Sip

registrar server expires max 600 min 60

voice register global
 system message "SRST Active"
 max-dn 100
 max-pool 2
 timezone XX

voice register pool  1
id network <IP subnet matching the dhcp scope> mask 255.255.255.0
 proxy <Gateway Loop back IP>

num-exp XXXXX  YYYYYY... (Short dial within site)

sip-ua
 registrar 1 ipv4:<Gateway Loopback ip> expires 3600

Call manager-fallback

System message Primary SRST Active

Make sure the SRST reference is defined with the ip and port for SIP, and is added to the Device pool.

If I can just revive this after the fact:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cusrst/admin/sccp_sip_srst/configuration/guide/SCCP_and_SIP_SRST_Admin_Guide/srst_setting_up_using_sip.html#pgfId-1011589

Restrictions

  • The id command identifies the individual SIP IP phone or sets of SIP IP phones that are to be configured. Thus, the id command configured in Step 5 is required and must be configured before any other voice register pool commands. When the mac address keyword and argument are used, the IP phone must be in the same subnet as that of the router’s LAN interface, such that the phone’s MAC address is visible in the router’s Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) cache. Once a MAC address is configured for a specific voice register pool, remove the existing MAC address before changing to a new MAC address.

Our requirement was to have specific phones allocated a different cor list - only only available is to use static IP Assignment - really, thanks for nothing Cisco! :(
