SIP Trunk between CUCM 7.1.2 and VX900

I am trying to configure an alternate link between my CUCM and VX900 in case the MGCP T1's on the VGR go down. I can call from POTS to VoIP fine, but when I try to call from VoIP to POTS, the POTS phone rings but when I pick up the phone I have zero-way audio. Also the call disconnects everytime after 31 seconds

The Media Class on the VX is set to G.711, as is the region on the CUCM. The SIP trunk on the VX utilizes both TCP and UDP. I am using a normal route pattern to route digits to the SIP trunk (I'm not using a SIP route pattern)

Any suggestions?

no way audio is frequently a firewall/nat issue...

is there natting going on?  if so, turn on sip-alg, set up nat-mapping or use a stun  server.

post a network diagram and sip config, and someone may be able to help.
