I require some assistance. My setup is: Verizon SIP Trunk----CUBE-----(H323)CM4.1.
Off of this I have some IP Phones that I need to record calls via IPCelerate. IPCelerate tells me that they can only record in G729a or G711u.
My trunk uses MTP and Outbound Fast Start. How can I do one of the following:
1. Setup CUBE to use a transcoder to merge a g711 stream from the IP Phone to a g729 stream to Verizon. Normally this scenario comes to play when integrating VM Servers that do not support g729, but in this case it is the phone that I want to invoke the transcoder, however, how can I force it to invoke the transcoder when it can do g729 natively.
2. Setup my trunk to do end to end g729a. I have not been able to find a good document on the CUBE configuration for this part. How do I force G729a to be in the SDP out to the SBC when that really is not a selectable codec? I tried changing the codec complexity on the voice-card, but that did not seem to work.
