Hello folks
CUCM SW 7.1.5.33900-10. Direct SIP trunk without CUBE.
Can Call Manager use host name in the @ field instead of IP-address on outgoing calls?
I mean instead of:
INVITE sip:400@192.168.0.16:5060 SIP/2.0
to send its hostname
INVITE sip:400@cucm71.smart.net:5060 SIP/2.0?
DNS server in CUCM is configured and works fine.
In System/Server FQDN of CUCM is configured too.
Thanks in advance,

Absolutely as long DNS can resolve it, in fact you can use SRVs.

Sorry folks for misleading. Just pasted wrong fields.
Mea culpa...
Of course DNS is working.
I meant whether it is possible to use host name in a "From:" and "Contact:" fields on SIP calls rom CUCM. Now CUCM sends its IP address, like this
From: "Beldy" <208>;tag=72de3cc6-fbcc-4b3a-a10d-b3a049360db6-28842500208>
Is it possible to have
From: "Beldy" <>>208@cucm71.smart.net>;?

Yes,
You can use sip profiles...
voice class sip-profiles 1
request INVITE sip-header From modify "<>" "<>1@cucm71.smart.net>">>
request INVITE sip-header Contact modify "<>" "<>1@cucm71.smart.net>">>
Then you need to apply it to the appropriate dial-peer
dial-peer voice 1 voip
voice-class sip profiles 1

Thanks for the info.
Unfortunately it is direct connection from CUCM to another PABX without any router in between.
