SIP Trunks between CME and Panasonic NS 700

Ravs

Hi Everyone

We want to integrate the Cisco CME with the Panasonic NS 700 PBX over Private SIP Trunks. We have the following licence enabled on the Voice Router. Please if someone can tell me if we are ok for the SIP Trunk configuration or we need to buy some licences for this.

Thanks in advance

Hello,

If I understand correct your question, you aim to connect the CME with the Panasonic, in order to phones registered on the CME to able to call phones registered to the Panasonic, via a SIP trunk ("internal" call routing within your LAN).

If this is the case, then you should NOT have a problem with the licensing.

Thanks George

That is correct.

Please if you can tell what licences will be required to setup the SIP Trunks on CME.

Regards

Rav.

If the trunk is not authenticated, then just create a dial-peer like this:

!
voice class codec 1
codec preference 1 g711ulaw
codec preference 2 g711alaw
codec preference 3 g729r8
!
!
dial-peer voice 202 voip
description *** Outbound to Panasonic ***
destination-pattern 4..
session protocol sipv2
session target ipv4:X.X.X.X
voice-class codec 1
dtmf-relay rtp-nte
!

IP X.X.X.X is the IP from the Panasonic

and 4.. are the extensions on the Panasonic, example of course

Check the codec, this depends on what the Panasonic supports

Hi,

I'm facing a customer requirement for Cisco CUBE integration with a Panasonic NS700 and am looking to see what interoperability problems we might be facing. I'm assuming that the CUBE configuration will be very similar to the CME configuration that's mentioned earlier...

What has been your experience since doing this?

Thanks in advance

Chris

The CUBE configuration runs under the same principles so you shouldn;t face any issues.

George,

Many thanks - that's what I thought.

Hello Ravs,

There was a typo, I meant you shouldn' t have a problem and you can just use a dial-peer configuration (make sure that you use the correct codec)

I will correct my above answer,

George
