SoftPhone device and Directory URI only?

Is it possible to create a CSF device and use the Directory URI for dialing (from Cisco Jabber). I have some users who need phone capabilities but we cant physically assign them a phone number.

Yes, in CUCM you can add up to 5 URIs to a DN and they will all ring the same device. I'ts important to notice that a DN HAS to be created, you cannot just configure a standalone URI for a device in CUCM.

In Jabber you also need to enable SIP URI dialing in the jabber-config.xml file as it's disabled by default.
