Speed dial numbers entered in Self Care Portal not showing on phone and vice versa

Hello,

Self Care Portal Version 10.5.1.  CUCM version 10.5.1.10000-7.

When users log into the Self Care Portal and add Speed Dial Numbers they do not populate on the phone.  Using 8945 phones btw.  On the 8945's when the user presses the directories button, selects Personal Directory, then Personal Fast Dials, they are not present.  Also when the user takes the phone off hook, and then presses the Speed Dial soft-key they are given a Speed Dial entry screen.  If I enter the corresponding speed dial number from the Self Care Portal it says the call cannot be completed as dialed.  Apparently I'm missing something in the way these speed dial numbers are supposed to function.  I would expect to be able to enter the corresponding speed dial and it would dial the saved phone number from the Speed Dial Numbers section of the Self Care Portal.

Thanks.

Allows users to speed dial a phone number by entering an assigned index code (1-99) on the phone keypad.

Note

You can use Abbreviated Dialing while on-hook or off-hook.

Users assign index codes from the Self Care Portal.

OK, you're mixing things here, speed dials are one thing, and personal fast dials are something else.

Which one do you want to use?

Thanks for the reply Jamie.  I guess my confusion may be related to Speed Dials entered from the Self Care Portal which aren't mentioned in the above document.  How do you access the speed dials from the phone once you have populated them in the SCP?

Have you already configured a phone button template with speed dials?

Yes, I have a phone template created for these 8945's and button 5 through 10 are configured as speed dial.  The 8945 only has 4 buttons though, excluding softkeys.  When the phone is off hook there is a speed dial softkey but when I press this there is a field that says speed dial that is displayed but I'm not sure what to enter there.  I thought initially it would be the speed dial number associated with the speed dial number I entered in the SCP.

OK, this seems to be working.  As an example, I created a speed dial in the SCP with the index code of 10.  Either on hook or off hook I can enter 10 and there is a speed dial softkey available to me at this point.  When I press the Speed Dial softkey it does indeed dial the associated number from the SCP.

Thanks Jamie.

Hello Jaime,

I have the following behavior when you add the speed dial from the self-care portal in the right position and you save, you find it in the phone page in the unassigned location and you need to manually edit it from the admin page to fix the issue..

this happen with 8865 that has more than one expansion .

Any idea ??
