Hi,
I am configuring SRST on a 2911 router and I had to add some SIP SRST confiuration.
Suddenly I got a big message telling me about accepting something.
Since this was on a live gateway I didn't accept it, because I was not sure what would happen (reboot, reset ?)
Then I executed these commands:
2911#sh license feature
Feature name Enforcement Evaluation Subscription Enabled
ipbasek9 no no no yes
securityk9 yes yes no no
uck9 yes yes no yes
datak9 yes yes no no
gatekeeper yes yes no no

We have bought SRST licenses for this customer, but they are not installable licenses but "honor based" as Rob has said in a message
But I do see evaluation period of 208 weeks (4 years)
So after 4 years SRST doesn't work?
And why are there three indexes for the same feature?
Thanks in advance,
Jan

Hi Jan,
Here we go my friend
Activating CME-SRST Feature License
The ISR-G2 comes with a 60-day evaluation license. After 60 days, the license changes to “right to use”.
The customer is required to pay for the CME-SRST feature license which is valid for 12 years.
Prerequisites
• UCK9 license
• ISR-G2 already accepts UC CLIs
SUMMARY STEPS
1. show license detail cme-srst
2. configure terminal
3. license accept end user agreement
4. exit
5. show license detail cme-srst
6. write mem
DETAILED STEPS
Command or Action Purpose
Step 1 show license detail cme-srst
Example:
Router# show license detail cme-srst
Displays the available cme-srst license. EULA should be in NOT
ACCEPTED state.
Step 2 configure terminal
Example:
Router# configure terminal
Enters global configuration mode.
Step 3 license accept end user agreement
Example:
Router(config)# license accept end user
agreement
Configures a one-time acceptance of the EULA for cme-srst
license.
Accepts EULA by typing YES.
Step 4 exit
Example:
Router(config)# exit
Exits global configuration mode.
Step 5 show license detail cme-srst
Example:
Router# show license detail cme-srs
Displays the available cme-srst license. EULA should be in
ACCEPTED state.
Step 6 write mem
Example:
Router# write mem
Saves configuration.
Command or Action
This is eplained in more detail starting on Page 15;

Hello Rob,
Thanks for your answer.
I followed the instructions you gave, I got the log message:
Mar 28 14:32:08.439: %LICENSE-6-EULA_ACCEPT_ALL: The Right to Use End User License Agreement is accepted
But when I do:
2911#show license detail cme-srst
Feature: cme-srst Period left: 208 weeks 2 days
Index: 1 Feature: cme-srst Version: 1.0
License Type: Evaluation
License State: Not in Use, EULA not accepted
Evaluation total period: 208 weeks 2 days
Evaluation period left: 208 weeks 2 days
License Count: 5000/0/0 (Active/In-use/Violation)
License Priority: None
Store Index: 23
Store Name: Evaluation License Storage
Index: 2 Feature: cme-srst Version: 1.0
License Type: Evaluation
License State: Inactive
Evaluation total period: 208 weeks 2 days
Evaluation period left: 208 weeks 2 days
License Count: 5000/0/0 (Active/In-use/Violation)
License Priority: None
Store Index: 22
Store Name: Evaluation License Storage
Index: 3 Feature: cme-srst Version: 1.0
License Type: Evaluation
License State: Inactive
Evaluation total period: 208 weeks 2 days
Evaluation period left: 208 weeks 2 days
License Count: 5000/0/0 (Active/In-use/Violation)
License Priority: None
Store Index: 21
Store Name: Evaluation License Storage

It still says EULA not accepted.
Anyway, as long as it is valid for 12 years, I don't mind.
I have read the pdf you refered to, but for installing a license, missed this accept EULA thing.
Licensing is quite tough in Cisco world
Thanks a lot,
Jan

You may try the following command:
c2911# license modify priority cme-srst high
then reload the router.
Hope this solves your problem although it has been so long )

ISR G2 routers include a 25-seat SRST/CME license that's already Right to Use. I'm not sure how your router's evaluation period was set at 208 weeks, but here's what happened with ours. By the way, I had the same concerns you did on "what happens when evaluation ends".
Here's what "show license detail cme-srst" shows on our 2921 with no intervention after the evaluation period
router#show license detail cme-srst
Index: 1 Feature: cme-srst Version: 1.0
License Type: RightToUse
License State: Active, In Use
License Count: 30/0 (In-use/Violation)
License Priority: Low
Store Index: 7
Store Name: Built-In License Storage
(Note, we added a second 25-seat SRST license, but "add" is a relative term. These are technically "honor system" licenses, as in, there's nothing to install.)
I think the issue with the EULA is a bug in the IOS software (we're on 15.1(4)M3), or at least, the flow for correcting the non-acceptance is flawed. When the evaluation period ended, the EULA status on cme-srst changes to "yes" in "show license EULA" as well.

They don't include it unless you purchased it with voice bundle, the licensing is not enforced however you need to buy it if you want to legally use it. Either way you need to accept the end user agreement.
