Hi,
Previously we are using CME on different sites, but now centralized CUCM deployed. Our officials are insisting to use cme all configurations as SRST mode, but we have also configured translation rules & dial peers towards cucm.
I told them that in actual SRST scenario no configuration of cme required on router, Just 6 to 7 srst mode cucm fallback commands required on each site router. Call Manager will automatically send site by site phones details to router for registeringphone if WAN link goes down scenario.
I just need to know that can we use cme configurations as SRST backup.

Hi,
SRST has 2 different mode: call-manager-fallback and CME mode.
for SRST you can use CME configuration.
to migrate from CME to CUCM, you need to configure Device pool with SRST reference to the current CME telephony service IP.
in DHCP config, just change the option 150 from CME to CUCM.
Also make sure that you have the required license in CUCM
