Hello,
in Cisco documentation I found that secure sip trunk (authentication and/or encryption) is possible e.g. with an voicemail system (like Cycos/MRS-Server)
Has anyone already configured this feature ? please, could anyone provide a short HowTo or explain how to configure in both sides
In documentation I read srtp over secure cisco-sip trunk (CUCM 6.1) is not supported ...
But I dont understand reason:
because if we use alreday TLS for signaling why is "srtp over sip" not possible ?
Is this problem of Cisco sip protocol implementation ?
thanks
Michael

SRTP for SIP Trunk is being added in 6.1 and is not there in 6.0.

I don't think this is support in 6.1
This is the Security Guide for Call Manager 6.1.1
Overview for SIP Trunk Encryption
Secure SIP trunks can support secure calls over TLS; this option provides signaling encryption but does not support media encryption (SRTP). Because the trunk does not support media encryption, the shield icon displays on the phones during the call when all devices in the call support authentication or signaling encryption.
