I am trying to install Call Manager subscriber
8.0.3 on Cisco MCS 7835 I3 server but it keep on failing with critical error
execution of script
"/usr/local/bin/base_scripts/sd_ifconfig -eth0 -ethtool "autoneg on" ... failed with return code 256
Check licensing
Check connectivity
I tested with hard code the speed and duplex

Hi,
The error is indicating an issue with the NIC, check the following
1) Did BIOS recognize the NIC card ? erify the LED on the NIC and what are you seeing
2) Is your switch mode configured as access (switchport mode access )
3) If the speed and duplex are hard coded on the switch they must match with the server.

Hi,
In addition to what Laskhmi has said, do you have Node license for this subscriber installed in PUB , if I go with "Check Licensing" message.

I'm getting the same error when tryint to install 8.0.3 onto a version 10.5 .ova. Where you ever able to figure this problem out?
