SX 10 upgrade

Hello,

I want to upgrade SX 10 from TC firmware to CE8.2.2 & SX 10 registers with UCM 10.5.1. Do I need to update UCM with cmterm-s52030ce8_2_2.k3.cop.sgn or upgrade the SX10 with s52030ce8_2_2.pkg?

If your upgrading SX10 thru CUCM then install cmterm-s52030ce8_2_2.k3.cop.sgn on CUCM.

Another option is to upgrade thru Endpoint GUI

 Maintenance -> Software Upgrade

If i upgrade through the Endpoint GUI , then i dont want to install the cop.sgn in UCM? Please confirm.

No need to install COP on UCM, If you upgrade thru endpoint. But make sure you see SX10 in CUCM Add phone drop-down. If SX10 is not in CUCM drop-down you may have install latest device pack.

Hi Khan,

I suppose we need to install cop file for CUCM in  call manager  and then, we can upgrade SX10.

We can use upgrade through GUI of SX10 , if we are using TC software in .pkg

Please correct me.
