TDM integration with IT network

Hi Everyone,

I know this is not part of the VOIP telephone system, but this is an urgent inquiry from one of the client who has a legacy TDM- PABX system:

- He is asking if we can integrate his phone system with his current IT Network

- Also, he wants to interconnectt this telephone system with his own security system

Is it doable? how and what is required?

Yes, it is doable. All you have to do is to engage a reputable consultant, or UC certfied Cisco partner, to design a state-of-the-art  solution and deliver, together with you, the best results to the end user.

You are to vague, your questions mean very little, you need to be more specific, i.e. What do you mean by "IT Network", what purpose do you want to integrate to it, are you simply asking if new Voip system can run on your network, if so you need to provide details around what the network looks like.

Similarly with your second question, what security system are you talking about?  What is the purpose of this integration?

What you're saying is too vague, please explain how the network is, and what is the exact thig(s) you;re trying yo achieve.

Starting for the existing netowrk design and topology.

Hi Abbas,

On Cisco router  , u can go for QSIG integration [as mentioned legacy TDM system] along with spare E1 port to be available on PBX and cisco router side.. Most probably,this would be supported  by PBX and PBX vendor needs to check for any licenses ,if required.

But do speak to client for detailed requirement involving PBX vendor and proposing solution.

Also, check PBX model interoperability  with Call Manager.
