Hello All,
i am currently working on a Call flow requirement which I am trying to achieve using Time of Day on CUCM.
Requirement: Calls to the MainLine number are routed to a hunt group during business hours and If Busy\No Answer\Off Day the calls should be routed to a external PSTN number
For Eg
MainLine number: 1111111111
Partitions: PT-Internal - Includes all phones
PT-Business - Contains the hunt pilot
PT-NonBusiness - Contains the DN to route to external number during Non Business hours
I did the below configuration
Time Period
BusinessHours1
NonBusinessHours1
Time Schedule
BusinessSchedule > BusinessHours1
NonBusinessSchedule > NonBusinessHours1
Partitions
PT-Business > BusinessSchedule
PT-NonBusiness > NonBusinessSchedule
The current dial plan uses E164, A CTI Route Point is created for the Main Line number. I created a huntpilot with the number 2525. When I call in to the Main number the call route to the huntgroup members correctly. However cannot be forwarded out to PSTN number upon Busy or No Answer, since it is routed with the called party number as 2525 which is not a valid DID.
How can I achieve this call flow, can I use the same MainLine DID number in a different partition as the hunt pilot number? or do I need to add Translation Patternst o get this through?
Appreciate your valuable inputs.
Regards
Alok

I've always used Unity to do this, I route the main number to a call handler with a time of day schedule and route the call accordingly. Works well.

Hey Thanks for your response,
When you route to the call handler do you use the Transfer Rules on the Call handler to throw the calls out to a PSTN number?

Hi Alok,
I will second the mjwald3200's point and would prefer to use the UCXN for the same results.
To achieve the results I believe we can use the following:
1. CTI RP / CTI Port > UCXN Call Handler > Business Hrs and Non business hours are set with the help of Standard Greeting and Closed Greeting.
At Standard Greeting > After Greeting Txfr the call to Alternate Ext > Enter the DN/RP etc (release the call to switch)
At Closed Greeting > After Greeting txfr the call to Alternate Ext > Enter the DN/RP etc (release the call to switch)

Thanks Wilson, Jamie, mjwald3200
i figured out the TIM of Day config, I was hitting issues as I had the numbers placed in the wrong Partitions. I placed the MainLine number CTI Route Point in 2 different partitions now and got it working.
I will also try your suggestions though.
Thanks for your inputs highly appreciated.
Regards
Alok
