Topology Questions

Is there a limit to the number of voice gateways that you can have connected to a CUCM?

My company is investigating VOIP to replace our existing system.  We have 18 branches with 4 POTS lines each.  These lines connect to an old PBX system at each location.  Ideally I would like to have all lines come into our central site via sip trunk or PRI.  Then calls would be routed to and from our branches via the IP network.  But our current phone contract has substantial penalties for canceling service.  So is it possible to use our existing 2811 routers as voice gateways and connect them to the POTS lines at each branch?  If so can all 18 2811 connect to a signle centrally located CUCM?

Thanks for any info or suggestions

Joe

Yes, it is possible.

Make sure you select a reputable consultant or certfied Cisco partner for the project. That will save you a great amount of of headache if trying to do yourself.
