Transcoding 2901

Hi,

I have a 2901 with 1 x PVDM3-32 and 1x PVDM3-64

The only interface card that uses the DSP's is a VWIC2-2MFT-T1/E1

I want to add a transcoder using the LTE interface, I think I should have enough DSP's, but max sessions says <0-0>

As far as I can see the PVDM3-32 should be free for transcoding services

Any idea why I have no transcoding sessions?

JH

Can you post "show run" and "show diag"?

Hello Chris

Attached the config, I have removed some config like dial-peers and sip-ua config

Since you have 2 E1-PRIs the 64+32 channel PVDMs with flex complexity all may be allocated to your PRIs, I suggest you read the following great write up on DSP credits to confirm if that is the case:

As an additional resource, this excellent explanation from Vik: https://youtu.be/vlm3wqurlqs

Very good video, thanks for posting Anthony.

I did an IOS upgrade and suddenly I have max sessions 23.

The IOS was quite old for this 2901

I saw that the DSPWARE VERSION went from 20 something to 46.2.12

Thank you all for the advice and links

very good, thinking about it the single PVDM3-64 should have covered your 2 E1s, so this makes sense now.
