Trying to reset dial-peer counters

Running shutdown / no shutdown on a dial-peer in config mode to clear the counters, but counters don't reset.  What am I missing please?  Running IOS version 12.4 for CUCM.

Hi,

clear statistics dial-peer voice xxx --- this will clear indidual peer stats

clear statistics dial-peer voice    --- This will clear all of them
