I'm looking at solutions for a customer and just want to be very sure I'm correct:
Can UC500 integrate at all with CUCM via a SIP trunk or as H.323 gateway? If not, why is it different? From what I understood it is just CME, or am I wrong?
Thanks for your help

I believe it is the same CUCME:

Hello,
The answer is Yes, you can integrate your UC520(CME) with you CUCM using a SIP Trunk, H.323 Trunk or H.323 gateway. In case that you would like to use the CUE as small voice mail solution integrated with you CUCM you need to do a JTAPI integration this process requires an especial license in the CUE.

Hi,
From a support perspective, UC520 integration with CUCM IS NOT A SUPPORTED DEPLOYMENT unless you have a CUBE (Cisco Unified Border Element) in between them. UC520 can ONLY integrate with other UC520s or CUCME, NOT CUCM.
From a configuration perspective, it is a straight forward integration like with any other CUCME box and CUCM (H323 / SIP).
