UC540 reverts to older config on hard shutdown

All,

I have a UC540 at a site that if it loses power and goes down hard when it comes back up it has reverted to an older configuration.  I don't see anywhere to list a backup of the config, I save the run to start and that's it.  It seems not to happen if I issue a reload command, only on a power failure.  Anyone seen this or know where I might start looking for the cause?
