uc560 connecting to catalyst switch, vlan/routing troubles

Hello everyone,

I am migrating from an old full blow unity/call manager to a uc560.

FACTS:

layer 3 catalyst switch: vlan 1, (192.168.10.0) for data vlan 101 for voice (192.168.11.0)

UC560: vlan 1 (192.168.10.0) for data... vlan 101 for voice (192.168.11.0)

work,

Phones: all running on the 192.168.11.0 obviously.

SUMMARY:

SO, when i plug the UC smart port in dektop/phone mode into one of the ports on the layer 3 switches the uc and any plugged in phones are up and working.

THE PROBLEM:

NOW the problem.  the 192.168.10.0 network(data network) can NOT ping the 192.168.11.0 voice network.  This simply won't work out for some VPN issues that I won't go into.  the 10 network must be able to ping the 11 network.

SO the port i plugged the uc into is assigned to vlan101, i removed than assignemend and assigned it 1-101.  Still no pinging between the networks..

Can tell me any ideas on what i need to do to ping between networks?

thanks!
