UC560 REMOTE PHONES

Hi All,

could you please tell me what are the options  to connect Remote phones (1 per site) to the Central UC560? I am at the design step

What do I need for  the remote sites?

Router to create VPN. Better if these, or the switches, have PoE.

Now I got that the 7945 can connect by VPN with an ASA to the CME8.x

What I don´t know is it is enough with the ASA Essential VPN License :

ASA-AC-E5505

Anny Connect Essential vpn license    ASA 5505 25 user

Or if it is nescesary the premium one:

ASA5500-SSL-25

ASA   5500 SSL VPN 25 Premium User License

You would need the SSL VPN licenses.

Even better, use a router instead of ASA, and need no licenses.

Note: doing phone VPN is very ver complicated and poorly documented. Better to place a small router at the remote site instead.
