Hello, I'd like to change the way my publisher is listed on the server configuration page of a CallManager cluster. I will not be actually changing the name or IP address of the server. I just want it listed by IP instead of name, so I can avoide DNS issues. Everything I can find out there refers to actually changing the name or IP of the server not just changing how it's listed on the Server Config page. So my question is...Can i just change it and adjust the service URLs or do I need to go through the whole process as if it was an actual change to the name and/or IP of the server?
Thanks
J

Yes, you can safely change it.

Thanks Chris. What I really need to know is the process. Do I just change it, adjust the URLs, and it's good to go? Or are there additional steps I need to take?

Yes, adjust the URLs under enterprise parameters. It is also a good practice to reference CUCM servers by IPs as oppose to hostnames under System --> Server
