UCSC-C220 installation problem

Hi,

We have purchased two UCSC-C220-M3S v01 for Call Manager  9.1. It was supplied without CD ROM drive.

I had connected  external CD ROM drive and boot with supplied Call Manager DVD.

After I had selected my external CD ROM in Boot Menu, it boots with the DVD and gives error

Unknown iterrupt or fault at EIP 00000060

Kindly advice.

Hi

You can't install CUCM directly on a UCS server.

You must first install VMware, and then build CUCM as a virtual machine.

Hi

You need to purchase VMware yourself or from Cisco.

You can download it from VMware for free and run it as evaluation until you have the licenses.

Yes, it would be the same for any UC product - they all require VMware on UCS servers.

Hi Harrison,

I had found in BOQ  licence for VMware

Cisco UC Virt. Foundation 5.0 (2-Socket 32GB vRAM)

R-VMW-UC-FND5-K9

1

UCSS Cisco UC Virt. Foundation Three Year - 1 server

UCSS-U-VMW-FND-3-1

1

Cisco UC Virt. Foundation 5.0 SnS

VMW-UC-FND5-SNS

It seems i need to download VMware from vendor site and do the installation.l

Should this be enough to make installation of call manager on one server and Presence on another server.

Thanks for your support.

Syed,

This is licensing for Cisco Virtual Foundation 5.0 for 1 CPU for 3 years.

Hi,

How can I get the cisco virtualization foundation software and license

I see them in BOM

Are they e-delivery or I should find their shipped with my UCS onsite ?

And if e-delivery, will i receive a link to download the software

Thanks a lot for your help

Go to vmware.com download page and search for "Cisco". There is a custom Cisco VM Ware Image. Download that, burn it on to a CD and run it on the UCS.

Get VSphere Client for Windows from vmware.com download page. Put the IP of the VMware server you just installed.

Hope this Helps

VR

Thanks Raju

I checked vmware site but for cisco foundation

Cisco word only got it

Thanks
