Unable to dial 12 digit International numbers

I have an unusual situation, at least I am unable to see it represented here. I am on a Cisco U560 and a PRI.

In Outgoing Call Handeling in the Dial Plan the settings are as follows:

I am unable to dial an international number with 12 digits. Example 011 44 344 800 XXXX. It always responds with " this number can not be completed as dialed". They hit the telco as "international" Plan:ISDN,

     Channel ID i = 0xA98383

           Exclusive, Channel 3

     Progress Ind i = 0x8183 - Origination address is non-ISDN

     Calling Party Number i = 0x2180, '815623XXXX'

           Plan:ISDN, Type:National

     Called Party Number i = 0x91, '01144344800XXXX'

           Plan:ISDN, Type:International

I can dial international numbers of less than 12 digits or greater then 12 digits with no issue. They hit the telco as "unknown". Plan:Unknown, Type:Unknown

     Channel ID i = 0xA98386

           Exclusive, Channel 6

     Progress Ind i = 0x8183 - Origination address is non-ISDN

     Calling Party Number i = 0x2180, '815623XXXX'

           Plan:ISDN, Type:National

     Called Party Number i = 0x80, '0114822594XXXX'

           Plan:Unknown, Type:Unknown

I know there is a simple fix, I just can't seem to get my head around it.

Try removing the international numbering type.

This did not work

Did you checked with your provider as most of the provider wants to see "UNKNOW" in TYPE or 011 for International calls. the best would be checking with provider what exactly they are looking in the plan & Type irrespective of the number.

I think this is the correct approach

Hi,

Use isdn map to to mask the plan and type as Unknown

interface sx/x/x:x

isdn map address .* plan unknown type unknown

I believe this may work.

Good. Test and let us know how it goes.

I believe your using CCP (Cisco Configuration Professional) to configure your dial-plan, can you

attach the "show tech". What you can do  is create a dial-peer voice with exact match and have translation-rule applied under it with sends the isdn plan and type as isdn international.

example:

voice translation-rule 101
rule 1 /^\(.*\)/ /\1/ type unknown international plan unknown isdn
voice translation-profile PSTN_12_DIGITS

voice translation-profile PSTN_12_DIGITS
translate called 101

dial-peer voice 30 pots
description International Dialing
translation-profile outgoing PSTN_12_DIGITS
destination-pattern 9011............$
port 0/2/0:23

Let me know if that helps.

Kevin

When call is seen as "international" it fails. I believe thew telco needs to see the call as "unknown", as all non-12 digit numbers identify in this fashion.
