When I do a show voice call status i get this:

GCHC_CENTRAL_2821#show voice call status

CallID     CID  ccVdb      Port        Slot/DSP:Ch  Called #   Codec    MLPP Dial-peers

1 active call found

GCHC_CENTRAL_2821#

Shouldn't that codec be G711?

yes it should be!! try configuring codec g711 under the outgoing dial-peer, or check your gateway config in cucm if it has an assigned device pool and verify its region communications between ip phone device pool.

hmm both have the same region and i can't assign the codec since its a pots dial peer.

Then try creating an incoming voip dial-peer. then apply it on that. Also, can you check in CUCM what codec is used when that region talks to itself

thanks!

hey! it looks like local calls work. it seems to connect right away AND i get a disconnect message! but long distance doesn't work. thats the correct number format right? 1-areacode-number

i changed it on the incoming dialpeer but I still have the same problem

hi Jomar,

storage sites are restricted here in our company. Could you just upload here the txtfile of the debug voice ccapi inout

07 21, 11 11:22 PM (in response to kenneth.mohammed)

unable to make outbound calls. incoming works

yes, its a long distance call from that location.

Paul, you are helping me. Nothing is too big of a problem!

There is a debug ccapi inout

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply. Can you post here the configuration for Dial-peer 1(incoming dialpeer) and Dial-peer 11(outgoing dialpeer)? Also, I can see that G729 is still being used by the ougoing call leg

Destination Interface=0x49BF0FD8, Destination Call Id=7226, Source Call Id=7227,

   Caps(Codec=g729r8(0x4), Fax Rate=FAX_RATE_VOICE(0x2), Vad=OFF(0x1),

I dont see any disconnect message on the logs. please include all of it.

if its ok, please let us know the show run.

thanks!

Thanks everyone! It looks like after some problems, everything is working! It looks like csim wasn't working like it did on the other gateways but its working now!

I'm not sure who to give the correct answer to though. All three of you were great.

Hi Jomar050485

It looks like that you have solved this issue? My question will be how did you do it, I am having the same problem over here I got HQ router which is controlled by MGCP and is registered. I can receive call from the PSTN but can't make calls out to the PSTN, I got the same debug as you have posted. I have tried all the possible solution which you have received from the guy's who were assisting you that time. Can you please post your current config in this forum I have spend couple of days and still haven't reached to a solution. I made call from the router using csim this doesn't help as well because SSH does not support csim. Your assistance will be appreciated... over to you

Gengad

Hello Abdulrazak,

We are slightly different, I was using H323. You are using MGCP. Are your calls reaching the gateway?

OO

I am using MGCP yes debug shows calls are coming to both from MGW router to the PSTN, but it disconnects it self straight away. Call-Pattern is fine because we are already getting call coming in from debug. is it to do with the dial-peer of the PSTN. I am using CME for my PSTN using back to back xover RJ48 cable E1 card PSTN is internal. I am seeing traffic coming in to both of my routers.

Thanks
