Unable to view Cisco 8811 phone in CUCM cluster domain

gimp

Level 1

I've two CUCM (CUCM1 and CUCM2) with System version: 9.1.2.12901-3 and about 500 phones (79xx) connected to a CUCM and I've no problem with them.

I'v just configured 20 x 8811 phones and register them in two CUCMs.

The latest cop files were installed and a clusterwide reboot but still not resolved my issue!

While the CUCM1 manage correctly the phones, the second CUCM2 get the following error message:

"Unmapped Exception /usr/local/cm/db/xml/xml/Phone_8811_SIP_display_instance.xml (No such file or directory)".

I've attached the show software packages from all CUCM.

Any ideas to resolve issue?

Thanks

Michele

Michele, have you installed the latest Device Pack on both the CM servers in order to add support for 8811 phones. If not, then that is something you should be doing first of all since just adding the FW will not help:

A DevPack has to be installed in ALL of the servers in the cluster, and a cluster reboot is MANDATORY if you're installing the DevPack to add support for new endpoints.

I Deepak,

I don't installed the Device Pack on both CUCMs. I'll do it, but how is it possible that CUCM1 works find with 8811 phones.

Thanks

Hi,

can you paste the output of "show version active" from both cluster as the file attached is not very clear.

JB

Thank you guys,

I veirified that the device pack is installed in CUCM1 and it is not true what I said before.

I hope that the problem will be resolved by installing the Device Pack in the second CUCM.

I'm forced to restart all the CUCMs or just one where I will install the Device pack ?

thanks a lot

Michele.

Also device pack needs to be installed on all nodes and a cluster reboot is mandate.

I've installed in the CUCM2 the same device pack just loaded in the CUCM1 and a restart the CUCM2.

Now CUCM1 work find and it recognize the 8811 phones.

Best Regards.

Hi,

normally the error would show if there was an issue with device pack installation on CUCM.

from both Clusters and every node can you provide

"file view install system-history.log"
